Glenfiddich, a distillery since 1887, is family-owned and run now by the fifth generation, based in Dufftown-Speyside, and kept independent, setting their own standards and rules in order to create a skilfully crafted single malt Scotch whisky in the traditional Speyside style. Glenfiddich, meaning Valley of the Deer in Gaelic, is a perfect valley for making malts, with the unique freshness from the same highland spring water flowing here and used since 1887 and taking advantage of the cool microclimate that ages the malts much slower.

Glenfiddich 18 years is the perfect example of the distillery's signature style, a highly awarded single malt. Carefully matured for 18 years in the finest Oloroso sherry and bourbon casks built by their own expert coopers. These casks are then nurtured in small batches for a further three months to obtain their remarkable deep, rich and complex flavour, with notes of rich baked apple and cinnamon spice complemented by robust oak notes that have deepened and mellowed over time.
