Production: 

Prohom Viognier is an organically grown white wine made exclusively from the Viognier grape variety.

The latest wine to join the Coma d'en Bonet family. It comes from viognier vines planted in 2003 in the Serra del Castellnau, at an altitude of 400 meters above sea level. The vines are farmed in accordance with organic and sustainable viticulture practices. Initially, the viognier was only intended as a blending grape in small proportions, but after 20 years, it has taken off on its own to make a single varietal wine with excellent results.

The grapes have been carefully selected at the vineyard and manually harvested. Skin macerated for 12 hours. Vinified in stainless steel tanks with its lees for 3 months. Bottled in February.

Tasting Notes: 

Classy, fresh wine, displaying citrus and apricot notes, persistent with good fruit weight and character. Perfect to enjoy on its own or with a wide range of dishes.

THE WINERY

Coma d’en Bonet belongs to the Fuster Amades family, a family with a long winegrowing tradition from the village of Gandesa, within the Terra Alta denomination of origin, in the province of Tarragona, south of Catalonia. Now they are farming and producing their wines organically. They work 28 ha of vines divided in different plots and growing in the characteristic clay-calcareous soil, very poor in organic matter. All their wines are fully certified organic by the Catalan Organic Farming Council (CCPAE).
