Wine elaborated by Comando G. for the Project Uvas Felices. Comando G is a group of enologists and wine-growers from the Sierra de Gredos area. The vineyards are located in Cadalso de los Vidrios, in Sierra de Gredos, within the D.O. Madrid, at an altitude of 900 m above sea level and on granitic soils in which biodynamic principles are applied.

Production:

It is made from a selection of the Albillo Real variety, the autochthonous variety par excellence in the Sierra de Gredos area. The vines are over 60 years old and growing in poor granitic soils in the Sierra de Gredos from vineyards located in Codalso de los Vidrios. They are organically farmed although not yet certified. 

Made using low-intervention methods. Grapes are hand-selected, and the juice is gently pressed and placed in French oak barrels with subsequent ageing for 8 months in the same barrels with its lees. 

Tasting Notes:

Golden yellow in colour, aromas of citrus fruit, white flowers and stone fruit combine with light aniseed and spicy hints. The palate is broad and unctuous, smooth and tasty with intensity and good structure. The finish is reminiscent of ripe fruit and sweet spices.
