This is one of Telmo Rodríguez’s most recent projects; actually, he is already producing wines in eight different DOs. This wine was born after seeing the potential of this largely Spanish region of Galicia and the native Godello grape variety. The vineyard is called “La Falcoeira". This ancestral vineyard is located in the town of Santa Cruz and is planted with the native varieties, white Godello and red Mencia. 

Production:

Elaborated from a selection of the area's native grape variety, Godello , sourced from their own vineyards and from local traditional winegrowers, grown on slate and granite soils in terraces with steep slopes at an altitude of 500 meters above sea level.

The vines are trained 80% along trellises and 20% by bush training. Manual harvest. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats, using native and selected yeasts.

Tasting Notes: Pleasant, inviting nose of fresh and fruity aromas, tropical fruit, and citrus flavours, with marked minerality and honeyed hints. Smooth-textured, full-flavoured wine with balanced, refreshing acidity that gives it a nice aftertaste.

Notes: Best enjoyed over the next 2 years.
