Produced by Domaine Rolet, the second largest estate in the Jura Wine Region, an estate founded in 1942 by Mr. Desire Rolet. Today, it remains a family-owned winery after being acquired by the Devillard family back in 2018.
The grapes are sourced from the plot "En Novalet" on soil rich in grey marls and well-exposed slopes in the village of Planoiseau under the appellation of L'Étoilet, an appellation in the Jura wine region forwhite winesandvins jaunesonly. Here, the chardonnay gives an elegant wine with a lot of character and ageing potential.
Winemaking:
Manual harvesting and sorting. Fermented in barriques and aged in the same barriques for a year before being bottled.
Tasting notes:
Intense, youthful, pure green fruits, lees, pear, lemon, and green apples with perfectly integrated acidity, mouth-filling but subtle, with a good length and a lovely touch of hazelnuts coming through on the finish.
