The young red wine of the winery is a blend mainly of Mencía accompanied by a small proportion of other local varieties. The grapes come from different plots with different orientations and altitudes around the Amandi Sub-zone on slate, granite, and sandy soils from vines ranging between 35 and 40 years old. Manually harvested, it has spent 4–8 months in contact with its lees.

Tasting Note:

Fresh and soft black fruit on the nose combined with floral and mineral touches. Medium-bodied with lovely silky tannins and good acidity.

Notes: Drinks nicely for 2-3 years

ADEGAS GUÍMARO

Small family winery that produces a small and selected amount of wine in the traditional way. They own 8 hectares comprising 30- to 100-year-old vines and work another 12–14 ha, which are controlled by them. The vines are planted in single-row plots in a privileged natural setting on steep slopes ranging between 50% and 70%. They cooperate with other wineries, like Niepoort or Raúl Pérez.
