Ultreia Saint Jacques is the introduction wine to Raul Perez’s range of Ultreia wines.
It is a Mencia-based wine, a cuvée from old vines sourced from different plots in Valtuille and Villadecanes within the DO Bierzo.
Fermented with partly whole clusters in stainless steel and oak and matured for 12 months in used barriques.
Tasting notes:
A serious yet juicy fresh wine, clean, lovely, and rounded. Scents of juicy red fruit, subtly spicy with hints of violets, strawberries, and redcurrants. Finishing fresh and vibrant.
Notes: The wine has good ageing potential.
