Reina de los Deseos is one of the four wines born from the collaboration of the Uvas Felices project and Comando G, a group of enologists and wine growers from the Sierra de Gredos area, who elaborate wines from the Grenache variety. The vineyards are located in Cadalso de los Vidrios, within the D.O. Vinos de Madrid, at an altitude of 900 m above sea level and on granitic soils in which biodynamic principles are applied.

Reina de los deseos is a single-varietal Garnacha wine sourced from a tiny plot of just 1 hectare located in Cadalso de los Vidrios (Madrid). An east-facing vineyard planted in 1959 on granite soil at an altitude of 950 meters above sea level.

Production:

The grapes go through a selection process both in the vineyard and in the winery. Yielding of just 30 hl/ha. 

Aged for 14 months in a 700-litre concrete egg and a 400-litre barrel.

Total production of about 1400 bottles.

Tasting Notes:

Delicate and subtle on the nose, perfume of flower petals, good fruit intensity, a touch of pepper, and dry leaves. Complexity and volume on the palate, with superb freshness and elegance, notes of fresh fruit reminiscent of nectarines, plums and blackcurrants, flavourful, gentle, and juicy.
