Production:
Tinto Natural red wine from the Penedès region. A blend of red grapes sourced from the "El Mayol" estate, located in the municipality of Bonastre in the Baix Penedès, Tarragona. The grapes are sourced from old vines growing on clay-limestone soils with little organic matter. 100% expression of the terroir.
The cultivation of the vineyards is done under sustainable and ecological viticulture. The harvest is done manually, followed by hand sorting of the grapes in the vineyard. Briefly macerated and vinified separately in stainless steel. Spontaneous fermentation with the grapes' own wild yeasts. Aged in oak barrels for 10 months and another month in stainless steel. Bottled unfiltered and unclarified. No sulphur has been added.
Partida Creus is the project of Massimo and Antonella, a couple originally from northern Italy. A project that began in 2001 with the acquisition of the Mayoll estate is located in the Massís de Bonastre area in the Baix Penedès (Tarragona). This marked the start of a great and interesting journey that has grown and fully consolidated itself, centred on the recovery of almost extinct autochthonous varieties to produce natural and authentic wines from them. They adhere to their principles of maximum respect for traditions with a strong commitment to the environment, applying sustainable methods throughout the entire production process.
The work, both in the vineyard and in the winery, is carried out manually and in the most natural way. The result is a wide range of wines that stand out for their complexity and unique personality. Wines that reflect the identity of the Mediterranean terroir, as well as its climate and the deep respect for ancestral techniques.
Tasting Notes: Pleasant and intense aromas of summer red fruits, redcurrant and strawberry flavours, with hints of violets and a background of fresh undergrowth herbs. Smooth texture with light spicy and earthy notes.
