Elaborated by Celler Rendé Masdéu, a small family-run winery in L'Espluga de Francoli in the Denomination of Origin Conca de Barberà. A winery with a long tradition in the wine business, inherited from their forefathers.

The family cultivates and elaborates organic wine, especially from single varietals of indigenous varieties that are well-suited to the terroir; they are also successfully specialized in the production of bittersweet vinegar from Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay

Production: 

Harvested by hand from their own vineyards with clay-limestone and licorella soils. Destemming, maceration, and fermentation in French oak barrels.

Matured for 12 months in French oak barrels.

Tasting Notes:

Deep garnet coloured. Excellent complexity; the aromas of dark fruit, sweet plum and blackcurrant fruits blend in very well with notes of caramel, vanilla and spice. Good depth, expressiveness,adequate acidity, well-integrated wood, and fruits of the forest, with a long, smooth finish.
