Production: 

Made from a selection of old vine Grenache and Carignan grapes sourced from various parcels located in different villages of the Alt Empordà, with vineyard ages ranging from 30–100 years old for the Grenache and 10–90 years old for the Carignan. The wine has spent 4 months in French and American oak barrels.

This new project is the result of the collaboration and joint effort between the well-known winemaker Coca i Fitó and Roig Parals.

Tasting Notes: 

It displays raspberry and blackberry aromas, complemented by mineral and spicy notes and a slight thyme touch. On the palate, it shows elegant red fruit, mineral, balsamic and cacao notes. Soft and fresh tannins with good acidity and well balance. Pleasant and long aftertaste.

Notes: Drinks well up to 2–3 years.

Coca i Fitó is about the brothers Toni and Miquel, the driving force behind this unique and innovative Celler that creates singular and very much appreciated great quality wines. Coca i Fitó is the brand that identifies the winery's more singular wines.

The wines are made by Toni, a renowed oenologist with an extensive curriculum and a great reputation in the area. Their project, which began in 2006 in DO Montsant, has not stopped expanding, always searching for new challenges and wine-producing regions to add to their already impressive and interesting range of wines. They have since added DO Terra Alta, DO Empordá, and recently also started making wine in the DO Ribeira Sacra.
