Production: 

The new wine from Pascona is a Crianza Classic wine with a modern touch, made from a blend of two autochthonous grapes, Grenache and Samsó (Carignan), selected grapes sourced from the estate's own old vines. Spent 9 months ageing in seven French oak barrels of 500 litres and seven French oak barrels of 225 litres.

Tasting Notes: 

Intense cherry red colour. Good fruit intensity, elegant and light, with scents of cherry fruit, figs, vanilla, and lightly toasted notes. Succulent and fresh, medium-bodied, pleasant and fine tannins, and a persistent and fresh finish.

Notes: It drinks beautifully now or over the next 4-5 years.

Toni Ripoll is the owner and winemaker of Celler Pascona, a small winery located in the village of Falset. He makes his wines from the 14.5 ha of vineyards divided into 17 different plots stretched around the cellar and planted on terraces with different orientations and three different types of soil: clay, granite, and the typical slate soil, locally known as llicorella.
