Production:

Elaborated from 100% Macabeo vines of over 30 years of age selected from 3 distinct vineyards. The vinification of the grapes from each vineyard takes place separately, employing different techniques to boost and extract from each of them its distinctive personality. Partially barrel-fermented and part-fermented in stainless steel. Aged on its lees for a minimum of 30 months. No dosage after disgorgement.

Tasting Notes:

Fine, persistent bubbles. Scented nose of fresh fruit, fine toasted aromas, and a touch of baking spices. Expressive with a velvety smoothness, beautifully balanced with the oak well integrated, and finishing with outstanding length.

THE WINERY

Celler Kripta (Agusti Torelló Mata) is a family-owned winery of highly acclaimed prestige in the region, located in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, the capital of Cava and the heart of the Penedès region.

They produce sparkling wines from the traditional local varieties, 100% Penedès, and 100% old vines. They strictly monitor the vines' growth, set production limits, and practise manual selection and picking of the grapes, vine by vine.

All of their sparkling wines are renowned for their character, quality, and prestige. 

Celler Kripta is one of the newest members to join the new brand, CORPINNAT, which stands for a collective European Union brand established with the aim of distinguishing great sparkling wines made in the heart of the Penedès from 100% organic manual harvest, 100% vinification on the premises of the winery, and long ageing.
