High-mountain wine, a single varietal of Riesling from "Finca la Borda", a vineyard located in the Sort-Pallars Sobirà area in the High Pyrenees, grown on slate soils at an altitude of 920 metres above sea level.

Production:

Viticulture Ecological (without certification).

Fermentation takes place in 23-hl stainless steel deposits with indigenous yeasts. Ageing for 10 months with its fine lees in inox, followed by 14 months in bottle.

Tasting Notes: 

A scented nose of white fruit with citrus tones and an herbaceous touch. On the palate, it shows good fresh fruit and lively acidity with a slightly bitter touch, finishing long on an elegant citrus note.

Battliu de Sort is located at the foot of the National Park d'Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici in the area of Sort-Pallars Sobirà (High Pyrenees) D.O. Costers del Segre. This is a relatively new project from a group of four close friends with a passion for wine. The vineyards, extending over 6 ha over gentle hills at an altitude of 900 metres, are ecologically farmed.
