Production:

Made from a selection of Albariño grapes hand picked and hand selected at the vineyard. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature, followed by a three-month rest surlie.

Tasting Notes:

Fresh, clean nose with fresh white fruit and citric notes. The palate is packed with fresh fruit flavours and mineral notes, crisp acidity, and quite vivacious.

 

Bodegas Zarate is a family-run winery established in 1920 at the heart of the "Val do Salnés" in the D.O. Rías Baixas, one of the pioneers in the region in elaborating albariño wines. Eulogio Pomares Zárate, 3rd generation, has taken over the running of the winery and the estate. Its 6.54 ha of vines are divided over 11 parcels, mainly planted with the Albariño variety, with an average age of 35 years. The winery has adopted biodynamic principles.
