La Atalaya el Camino comes from a selection of the local varieties Garnacha Tintorera and Monastrell sourced from old vines planted on calcareous soils, between 700 and 1000 metres above sea level.
Production:
Fermentation of each variety separately in stainless steel for approximately 20 days, followed by 12 months' ageing in French oak barrels.

THE WINERY
Bodegas Atalaya is one of the seven companies that compose The Gil Family Estates Group, a project that unifies a series of selected and interesting wineries from different DOs in Spain, each with its own personality.
The winery, established in 2007, is located 3 kilometres north of the town of Almansa, east of Albacete Province. The vineyards are planted predominantly with the autochthonous varieties of the zone, Monastrell and Garnacha Tintorera.
