This wine is named after its creator, and it is the alma mater of the winery.

Production:

Made from 100% Tinto Fino vines (the local name for the Tempranillo grape) between 15 and 25 years old. Maceration for 28 days with the skins and 12 months of ageing in French and American oak barrels.

Tasting Notes:

Intense aromas of mature, ripe black plum fruits, together with spicy and toasted notes. Rich and warm bouquet, lovely intensity of black fruit on the palate with spice, vanilla, and balsamic notes. Displaying some elegant tannins and a sweet spiciness on the finish.

 

Note: Drinking nicely over the next 8-10 years.
