Flor de Vetus is a single-vineyard fresh red wine by Bodegas Vetus, one of the four companies that compose the Artevino Group (Izadi, Fincas Villacreces, Orben, and Vetus). Bodegas Vetus was founded in 2003 in the D.O. Toro-Zamora, where it had 20 hectares of vineyards with vines planted in 1990 on a slope at 700 metres above sea level with a north-south orientation.

Production:

Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats with double passage.

Ageing takes place during nine months in American and French oak barrels (50% new and 50% second wine).

Tasting Notes: Red and black ripe fruits, hints of liquorice, spices and notes of caramel, slightly toasted. Excellent freshness, pleasant entry on the palate, soft textures, integrated oak, and soft tannins. Excellent quality-price value.
