Com Tu is a red wine from the Barbier Family's project in La Figuera del Montsant. A collaboration between René Barbier Sr. and his son Anderson Barbier, in which the two men combine their respective personal philosophies into a single project. The result is a wine that follows in the footsteps of its "older brother", El Espectacle.
Com Tu was born in La Figuera del Montsant, an area where the Grenache is the major star and where it finds the ideal place for its development, in the highest and freshest area of the DO Montsant, about 600 metres above sea level.
The grapes come from the "Miramar" estate, located in the highest part of La Figuera, consisting of 3 hectares in the coolest part of this mountainous area with clay-limestone soil and vines 35 to 50 years old, including some that are even 100 years old.
Production:
Wine from sustainable viticulture. The grapes are harvested by hand following a meticulous selection process in the vineyard.
The wine ferments and ages in a 4500-litre old foudre followed by another 8 months in cement. Bottled in April 2022.
Tasting Notes:
A long-aged red wine. expressive, intense, and fresh. Displays aromas of red fruit, sweet cherry, blackberries, subtle wood, spices, and light balsamic notes. Entry is smooth and harmonious on the palate, with red fruit interwoven with delicate floral notes that leave a pleasant sensation when drinking. Flavoursome, fresh, and good intensity, with soft tannins and a long finish.
