Vi del Mas comes from the collaboration of two friends, Pep Aguilar and Patri Morillo of Trio Infernal winery, Priorat, whose formidable experience and joyful passion for the wine has made possible the starting-up of this small winery new project.

This wine is produced from a blend of Grenache and Syrah grapes sourced from older Carignan vines and younger Syrah vines at “Mas d´en Cosme” in the municipal district of Falset and planted on predominantly granitic and clay/calcareous soils at an altitude of 370 m above sea level.

Production:

The vinification takes place with 50% of destemmed grapes, maceration last for 1 -5 days, fermented with autochthonous yeasts in stainless-steel deposits. The wine aged for 6 months in stainless steel vats with its fine lees, followed by another 2 months in polymer egg-shaped vats. The wine has been natural stabilized.

Tasting Notes: 

This is an excellent wine to get to know the Monsant wines. It is a youthful, fresh, soft, straightforward wine with the tell-tale stamp of Comunica Celler wines. Fruit, touch of Mediterranean herbs, soft-textured, bundles of fruit, soft tannins and lovely fresh finish.
