Natural and ecological red wine, produced from a blend of red varieties coming from high-altitude vineyards growing on poor slate hillsides, between 800 and 900 metres above sea level, up the hills of Prades in the small village of Vilanova de Prades.

The grapes growing at high altitudes are renowned for having a higher natural acidity content, which benefits the production of a wine of much higher quality. These wines have amazing depth, concentration, and complexity, qualities that contribute to their distinctive personality and give them a remarkable capacity for ageing.

The wines are made in a traditional way, with small productions and viticulture that is highly respectful of the environment, following the rules of organic viticulture, both in the vineyard and in the winery, and the lunar phase calendar. The vines are organically farmed and duly certified by the authority CCPAE, the Catalan Council of Organic Production, the public watchdog responsible to the ministry of agriculture of the Catalan government.

Production:

The grapes have been manually harvested, fermented spontaneously in stainless steel tank with natural yeast, and aged in a 500-litre clay amphora for three months.

Bottled without being clarified or filtered. Natural wine containing less than 10 mg/L in total of SO₂.

The wine is produced outside the Denomination of Origin Conca de Barberà

Tasting Notes: 

Deep red colour. Rich flavours, structure and fruitiness; lovely and round fresh fruit with hints of spices and light wood; smooth, finishing with fine, long flavours.
