Cellers Tarroné is a small, family-run winery located in the small village of Batea in the province of Tarragona and within the Denomination of Origin Terra Alta.

It consists of six different plots totalling 35 ha of vineyards with clayey and chalky soils, poor in organic matter. It is situated between 350 and 500 metres above sea level and enjoys a Mediterranean climate with continental influences.

The wine is currently organically farmed and duly certified by the authority, CCPAE, the Catalan Council of Organic Production, the public watchdog responsible to the Catalan Government's Ministry of Agriculture.

Production:

This young rose, made of 100% Black Grenache from Batea and organically farmed, has been manually harvested at the optimal ripening time. Controlled fermentation and aged for four months with its lees and with battonage.

Tasting Notes:

Pale salmon in colour, it displays an aromatic nose with notes of red fruit, revealing floral notes and a mineral background. On the palate, just the right level of acidity, excellent freshness, and good fruit weight.

Notes: Best enjoyed in youth over the next 1-2 years.
