Escabeces is part of the Vinyes del Tiet Project, which includes Oriol Pérez Tudela and Merce Salvat together with the renowned Priorat winemakers René Barbier and Sara Pérez of Venus La Universal, Mas Martinet and Clos Mogador.

Escabeces Xarel.lo vermell is a unique natural rosé wine, made from 100% Cartoixà Vermell (red Xarel.lo), a grape native to Tarragona, and it comes from a vineyard in the village of Vilabella in Tarragona.

Production:

It is made as a red wine. Fermented with the skins in contact with the must, then matured in barrels and clay amphorae for about 6 months.

Tasting Notes:

A wine with excellent intensity. Ripe fruit aromas mix with white flower notes and a hint of spice. Intense and complex on the palate, with a silky texture and good acidity, citrus and floral flavours in perfect balance with the sweetness of the grape. Finishing long and refreshing.
