Serving Temperature: It is recommended to be stored and consumed at room temperature.

Rancid-style wine, produced from a selection of the varieties of Grenache, Carignan, and Cabernet Sauvignon with an oxidative ageing in soleras.

Production: 

Once blended, the wine goes into the barrels with its lees. Aged with the Solera method in French oak barrels, with an average ageing of over 5 years.

Tasting Notes: Hazy golden orange colour. Aromas of tobacco, spices, and herbs. Medium body, honey, dried fruit, sweet spices. Dry, rich finish.

Notes: Excellent both as an aperitif or as an end to a meal with all types of desserts and salty dry fruits. It is recommended to store the bottle upright.

The Winery

Founded in 1933 by five families from the village of Capçanes, who together established a cooperative that would handle large quantities of grapes economically and efficiently. The cooperative bears the name of the village where it is located: Capçanes, a village hidden away in the Priorato hills inland from Tarragona and with a long wine-growing history.
In the 1990s, the company was reinvented as an independent company with its original members as shareholders; today, they have around 130 members and produce a wide selection of high-quality wines, including the well-known Peraj Ha’abib, a kosher wine, under the Montsant appellation.
