Dolça de Ganagot d'Alforja is a sweet red wine, also known as Vimblanc d'Alforja, a type of sweet liqueur wine made from grapes that are left to overripen on the vine. This wine is typical of the Tarragona region.

Made from black Grenache grapes from the 2021/2022 vintage and raisined in the vineyards in mid-November. The must goes through a vertical press, and the fermentation takes place spontaneously until it reaches 9.5% vol. for 3 years. It is matured and racked in glass containers (demijohns) in the sun.

No alcohol has been added. It has 258 g/l of natural sugar. 

The wine is made by Mas del Botó, a family-run winery housed in an old farmhouse in the valley of the river Cortiella, Alforja, within the DO Tarragona. Mas del Botó elaborates its wines with the grapes from the 5 hectares of vineyards owned by the Llauradó family, located at an altitude of 600 meters above sea level.

Tasting Notes:

Amber-coloured wine with reddish hues, concentrated and balanced. It stands out for its natural sweetness, complemented by notes of candied cherry and light peppery hints.
