This year the DOQ has classified it as a Parage de la Tena white wine, "Solanes de Mas d'en Pubill". 

Production: 

Made from grapes from very old Garnacha vines, complemented in smaller proportion with the grape varieties Picapoll blanc and Macabeu. All the varieties from La Tena and vineyards in costers.

It has spent 6 months in a new French oak barrel. A total of 778 bottles were produced.

Tasting notes:

Bright yellow-gold colour. Subtle and complex nose with scents of wild herbs, some floral notes, and spiciness, as well as toasty, smoky touches from the oak. Flavourful, broad, and fatty on the palate, balanced with a lively herbaceous and mineral vein and anise on a deliciously long finish.

Notes: Good ageing potential; it will continue to evolve in the bottle.

THE WINERY

Clos Dominic is a small, family-run winery established in 1998 that elaborates small quantities of lovely, well-made, handcrafted wines with all their passion and perfectionist attention. Caring to always produce the best wine while remaining faithful to the terroir and their ancestors' customs, their quality, along with the authentic personality of the great Priorat wines, is what makes them successful.

They practise sustainable and minimalist viticulture, totally respecting the values of the fruit and the traditional winemaking process. They count on their best asset, which is "La Tena", a 7-hectare sloped vineyard with an age range of 64 to 100 years and one of the best plots in the Priorat, located in the municipal district of Porrera at an altitude of 430 meters.
