It's a single-varietal white wine from the key Galician grape variety Albariño from Val do Salnés, the most northerly and flattest of the sub-zones, and has the most established reputation for producing classy Albariño-based wines.

The wine is made by the small, familiar bodega Pazo de Señoras, founded in 1989, and it is housed in a magnificent and manorial 16th-century manor house, now reconverted into a winery.

Production: 

The grapes are hand-picked and hand-selected at the vineyard. Pellicular maceration in press. Controlled alcoholic fermentation at 16ºC in stainless steel tanks with a minimum of 5 months sur lie, followed by at least 4 months' rest in bottle. The bottling is done several times throughout the year.

Tasting Notes:

Straw yellow in colour. Of medium aromatic intensity, subtle, elegant, and marked with varietal character, fruity, fresh, and tasty, with a range of tangerine, grapefruit, peach, and apricot flavours and an herbaceous touch, firm acidity, and a creamy texture.

Notes: To be enjoyed over the next 1-3 years after the vintage. It should develop in complexity with age.
