Solista Garnatxa Blanca is a white wine of great complexity and elegance. It is made from a single variety of white Grenache grapes from its own vineyards located in the municipality of Batea. The grapes are grown using dry farming and environmentally friendly viticulture practices.
The wine is part of the premium Solista series, a collection that includes a series of single-varietal wines from the winery's own vineyards, highlighting the authenticity of each variety.
Produced by Bielsa Ruano Vins, a small family project located in Vilalba dels Arcs, within the Terra Alta DO. The family have solid roots in viticulture and oenology and are firmly linked to the territory and the cultivation of the vineyards. The project commenced in 2017 with the acquisition of the family home, where the cellar has been built in the basement of the building to expand the project.
The project is currently led by Joaquim Bielsa, a winegrower and oenologist who has devoted part of his life to winegrowing alongside his parents while also completing higher education studies in oenology and gaining valuable experience working in various wineries throughout Catalonia. They work 10 hectares of vineyards, located within the municipality of Batea, which have been cultivated and cared for by five previous generations.
Bielsa Ruano has established itself as one of the most unique wineries in Terra Alta with its young personal project that vindicates signature wines from own vineyards and of limited production. Its wines are highly acclaimed and have been awarded for the quality and uniqueness of their white Grenache grapes.
Production:
The selected grapes are pressed, and the must is statically settled. Fermentation takes place at low temperature for 30 days with selected yeasts. Matured for 12 months in French oak barrels on its lees.
Tasting Notes:
Golden yellow coloured wine. White fruit scents complemented by floral and spicy undertones of vanilla. On the palate, it is silky and smooth, with volume and complexity and a long, persistent aftertaste.
