VI-D-RE is the result of an original idea that came to Antoni Mata Casanovas, the second generation of the Recaredo family. It is a single-varietal wine fermented, aged, and corked only with glass.

A 100% Xarel·lo wine sourced from a single family-owned vineyard planted with the indigenous variety par excellence, Xarel·lo, growing on extremely calcareous terrain. Ecologically and biodynamically farmed. The wine has been grown, produced, and bottled on the family estate.

Production:

Hand harvested. Fermented with native yeasts in 34-litre demijohns and in a 220-litre glass container.

Aged in demijohns and glass containers for 5 months.

Bottled without adding sulphites, it has a natural content of less than 10 mg/l.

Its production is limited to 1434 numbered bottles.

All the wines from the winery are organically farmed and biodynamically certified with the Demeter biodynamic certification by the authority CCPAE, the Catalan Council of Organic Production, the public watchdog responsible to the Catalan Government's Ministry of Agriculture. 

Tasting Notes: 

It presents a strong varietal character, lively and refreshing, dry, white fruit, some herbal and citrus notes, vibrant acidity, and a long aftertaste.

Note:

This wine is vegan-suitable. The Xarel·lo variety is notable for its ageing capacity and complex nuances. This wine may contain natural sediments due to the minimal intervention. 

Celler Credo is a project from the well-known Cava family, Recaredo. The project is based on the Xarel.lo grape, a Mediterranean native varietal, particularly in the Penedès region, where it finds its natural habitat.

8 hectares are farmed according to the principles of organic and biodynamic methods and are located in the region of the Alt Penedès. They produce terroir white wines that clearly express the particularities of the natural environment without the use of any chemical fertilisers, pesticides, or herbicides.
