Production:

Partly sourced from old vines, and the rest from relatively younger vines planted on Licorella soils. Aged for 8 months in used French oak barrels.

Cartoixa de Montsalvat: Wine, Terroir, and Tradition. Francesc Sánchez-Bas Montsalvat is a small family winery located in the heart of Priorat, in the village of La Vilella Alta within the DOQ Priorat. They own 15 ha of vines. The winegrowing and the production are done according to traditional methods.

Tasting Notes:

Pleasant and intense bouquet of brandied cherries, elegant minerality, fresh fennel, and clove with lightly toasted notes. Deep and concentrated, displaying soft and sweet spice notes and rounded, firm tannins. Delicious for the price!!!.
