Cartoixa de Montsalvat: Wine, Terroir, and Tradition. Francesc Sánchez-Bas Montsalvat is a small family winery, located in the heart of Priorat, in the village of La Vilella Alta within the DOQ Priorat. They own 15 ha of vines. The winegrowing and the production are done according to traditional methods.

Tasting Notes: Nearly black/purple colour. Complex and elegant bouquet showing powerful jammy blue and black fruits, mineral, leather, lavender, and toasted notes. On the palate, the wine has opulent, dense, balsamic notes with nicely integrated oak notes and tannins. It has texture, class, and a long aftertaste.

Notes: A two-hour decant is recommended.
