Orto Vins started in 2008 as the result of a joint project from 4 vine growers from El Masroig, a small village inside the appellation of Montsant in the Catalonia region. Jordi Beltran, Josep Mª Beltran, Josep M. Jové, and Joan Asens. All of them come from families with a long tradition of vine growing. With this project headed by Joan Asens, an experienced oenologist best known for his work during 15 years at Alvaro Palacio's winery in Gratallops, where he was in charge of the viticulture and vinification side, they return to their origins, continuing to blend the finest quality wines from their own vineyards, according to their traditions.

 

Tasting Notes: Elegant nose of black fruit, plum, liquorice, and mineral notes. Good weight with rich fruity expression. Pleasantly creamy palate and rounded tannins on the finish.
