Els Costums is a briefly aged red wine, a wine of great authenticity that represents the region's traditional variety. Produced by Vinyes del Convent using grapes sourced from La Senyoria estate in Horta de Sant Joan.

Production:  

All the grapes are sourced from their own vineyards and selected by hand at the vineyard and at the winery. The whole-berry grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks. Aged for 3 months in a 500-litre foudre.

Tasting Notes:

Plum-coloured red wine. Fresh with a Mediterranean character. It has a good aromatic intensity, with aromas of ripe black fruit, balsamic with a spicy touch. Fresh and fluid on the palate, silky, well-balanced round tannins with a long finish.

Les Vinyes del Convent is a small family winery, run by the family of Elías Gil, the fourth generation of a long-standing family of wine producers from the local village of Horta de Sant Joan in the denomination of Terra Alta. Here is where the family has its roots and where their most personal project takes place as an homage to their ancestors and their passion for the world of wine.

All their wines are produced from their own vines; some are part of a legacy, and others are selected for their quality and purity. The vines are spread over five different estates in the Horta de Sant Joan district, growing in unique landscapes with a strong footprint of the territory and with the Garnacha as the main protagonist.
