Brao comes from the autochthone varieties Grenache and Carignan (Samsó), sourced from low-yielding old vines of over 60 years of age. A selection of the best grapes coming from three different parcels located around the villages of Capçanes and Marcá and growing on poor and stony soils.

The wine is duly certified by the authority CCPAE, the Catalan Council of Organic Production, the public watchdog responsible to the Catalan Government's Ministry of Agriculture.

Production: 

Totally respecting the values of the fruit, its objective is to reflect and conserve its distinctive varietal expression with a maceration of about 15 days.

Fermentation and ageing during 12 months in light-toasted French oak barrels of 1 wine. Bottled without clarification or filtration.

Tasting Notes: 

Made with great care, it exhibits amazing depth, complexity, expressivit, and elegance. Deep ripe fruit aromas, dark cherries and kirsch, sweet spices, and some nuances of flowers and violets. Soft and fruity on the palate, with good depth and elegant, fine tannins to round it off.

Note: It is recommended to let the wine breathe or decant before serving.     

Acústic Celler is a personal project of Albert Jané of Jané Ventura in D.O. Penedés. It all started in 2003, when he acquired some old native vineyards in the D.O. Montsant. Once more, maintaining his philosophy, respecting the traditional viticulture of the region and the values of the fruit, with no attempt to give pride of place to the wood, great respect to nature, avoiding excessive use of technology, and allowing the vines to express their individual characteristics.
