Production:  

Crafted from old-vine Macabeo, Xarelo, and Parellada vines, the Penedès' traditional varieties. Harvested manually, with traditional slow fermentation in stainless steel. Minimum ageing of 72 months. Non-added expedition liqueur. 100% ecologic and vinified in-house.

Tasting Notes: 

Lots of tiny bubbles. A scented nose of ripe fruit combined with the delicate ageing aroma, butter, and toasted notes. Good volume, splendid integration of ripe fruit aromas with the ageing notes, as well as some toasted and nutty touches. Long and persistent aftertaste.

Note: Best consumed up to 12–24 months after the disgorgement date. Ideal as an aperitif, it also combines well with Iberian ham, cold meats, seafood, fish and meat sauce dishes, rice, meat, and semi-cured cheeses.

Celler Kripta (Agusti Torelló Mata) is a family-owned winery of highly acclaimed prestige in the region, located in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, the capital of Cava and the heart of the Penedès region.

They produce sparkling wines from the traditional local varieties, 100% Penedès, and 100% old vines. They strictly monitor the vines' growth, set production limits, and practise manual selection and picking of the grapes, vine by vine.

All of their sparkling wines are renowned for their character, quality, and prestige. 

Celler Kripta is one of the newest members to join the new brand, CORPINNAT, which stands for a collective European Union brand established with the aim of distinguishing great sparkling wines made in the heart of the Penedès from 100% organic manual harvest, 100% vinification on the premises of the winery, and long ageing.
