Production: Elaborated from a very special coupage of two monovarietal wines. The liqueur d’expedition, aged in oak barrels, gives it just the right amount of sweetness and its fine aromatic touches. Residual sugar amount of 38g/L. . Bottle fermented, “method Champenoise” Aged in bottle for a minimum of 18 months.
Cava Llopart is one of the oldest Cava House in Spain, the family’s history dates back to 1385, and the first cava Llopart bottles were produced at the old country house cellar in 1887 , despite their hard beginning due to the phylloxera plague at the end of the XIX century, they managed to pull out together with great efforts and hope, introducing the most suitable grape varieties to elaborate high expression and complex cavas. Today, Cavas Llopart are consolidated as a high quality product, keeping themselves loyal to the roots using the exclusive craft elaboration methods, in accordance with the strict traditional system “Champenoise”, they elaborate their cavas at the family’s country estate “Can Llopart de Subirats”, situated in a mountainous area, geologically formed 22 million years ago, and where it has been found a great number of molluse fossil, the balanced grounds with a moderate level of nutrients and organic compost and the appropriated microclimate with a moderate rainfall, shape the perfect setting for vine cultivation, resulting in concentrated, balanced grapes of great fineness which will define the personality of all their cavas and wines.
Tasting Notes: Golden yellow colour. Broad aromatic nose showing mature fruits, caramel tones and citric touches. Creamy style, good acidity, lively and refreshing. Persistent and flavourful aftertaste.
Note: Ideal to accompany all type of desserts, also will go well with “foie” and strong cheeses.
