Production: 

Elaborated from the three traditional cava varieties: Macabeu, Xarelo, and Parellada. Manual harvest follows a process of grape selection at the vineyards; only the first juice, the so-called 'tear must', and flowers must be chosen to make the Cava Llopart.

Especial "coupage" of 15% from reserva wine. Bottle fermented, "method Champenoise". Aged in bottle for a minimum of 42 months.

Certified Organic by CCPAE, the Catalan Council for Organic Production, the public watchdog responsible to the Catalan Government's Ministry of Agriculture.

Cava LLopart is a founding member of the new brand, CORPINNAT, which stands for a collective European Union Brand established with the aim of distinguishing great sparkling wines made in the heart of the Penedès from 100% organic manual harvest, 100% vinification on the premises of the winery, and long ageing.

Tasting Notes:

Golden colour with delicate fine bubbles. Long ageing, complex bouquet, lovely mouthfeel, some elegant honey and toasty elements with dried fruit notes, smooth creamy texture, and good acidity-sugar balance.

Note: Recommended for all those who love aged and developed sparkling wines. Best consumed up to 12–18 months after the disgorgement date. Ideal to accompany a wide range of consistent meals.

Cava Llopart is one of Spain's oldest Cava Houses; the family’s history dates back to 1385, and the first Cava Llopart bottles were produced in 1887 at the old country house cellar. Located in the Heredad "Can Llopart de Subirats" in the same municipality of Subirats.

Despite a difficult beginning due to the phylloxera plague at the end of the XIX century, they managed to pull through together with great efforts and hope, introducing the most suitable grape varieties to elaborate high expression and complex cavas.

Today, Cavas Llopart is consolidated as a high-quality product, remaining true to their roots by using exclusive craft elaboration methods in accordance with the strict traditional “Champenoise” system. They elaborate their wines at the family’s country estate, “Can Llopart de Subirats”, situated in a mountainous area geologically formed 22 million years ago and where a large number of molluse fossils have been discovered. The well-balanced grounds with a moderate level of nutrients and organic compost, as well as the appropriate microclimate with moderate rainfall, create the perfect environment for vine cultivation, resulting in concentrated, balanced grapes of great fineness that define the personality of all their cavas and wines.
