Made from a selection of Macabeu, Parellada and Chardonnay wines, manually selected from their own best vineyards.
Second fermentation in bottle and remaining on its lees for a minimum of 32 months.
Tasting Notes:
Pale straw yellow in colour, persistent bubbles. Aromas reminiscent of fresh white fruits, pears, and pineapple with touches of dry herbs and toasted notes from the ageing. Smooth and fresh, with good fruit and acidity, finishing fresh and persistent.
CELLER CARLES ANDREU
This is a small, family-owned winery whose roots can be traced to 1781. As recorded in the history archives, the family has been dedicated to growing vines ever since the 18th century.
Today the family owns 80 ha of vineyards in the Conca de Barberà, and it is run by Carles Andreu, who, in 1991, continuing with the family tradition, established the actual bodega that bears his name in the town of Pira. There, they produce a selection of cavas and wines of high quality.
