Natural and pure wines without added sulphites made from 100% Muscat d’Alexandria from a small eco-certified plot, La Vinya del Joan in Capmany (Alt Empordà-Girona). The wine is organically farmed following biodynamic principles, working with sacred geometry.
Vinification:
Manual harvesting follows the Byodinamic calendar.
Maceration takes place for 3 weeks with whole berries. Spontaneous fermentation in a stainless steel vat with skin contact and only autochthonous yeasts. SO2 < 10 mg/l.
Tasting Notes:
Fragrant nose with scent of orange blossom, notes of white flowers, jasmine, and peaches. Medium body with good intensity, freshness, and length.
THE PROJECT
Cosmic Vinyaters is the project of Salvador Batlle, the alma mater behind this project, and part of a new generation of winemakers who are passionate, enthusiastic, and talented young people with the aim of producing small-crafted quantities of excellent wines with their own unique identity while totally respecting the values of the fruit. Motivated by his philosophy, Salvador employs the viticulture practices of organic farming using biodynamic principles and minimal intervention that are respectful of the environment.
Cosmic Vinyaters produces its wine in two very distinct landscapes of the Catalan geography, in the Alt Empordà, where it worships the native varieties, and in the Baix Penedès, where it works and cultivates native varieties together with foreign varieties well suited to the terroir.
