Orange wine made from 100% white Garnacha grapes from Celler Capçanes under DO Catalunya.

Production: 

The wine undergoes extended skin and seed contact during its vinification in order to achieve a greater amount of colour and tannin. Minimal intervention wine. Maceration for 15 days. Fermentation in stainless steel at a controlled temperature of 16ºC. Gentle pressing. Aged "sur lie" on its natural yeasts. Lightly filtered.

Tasting Notes: 

Intense olden colour. Lovely nose reminiscent of stone fruit, peach, and apricot. Medium-full body structure. Unctuous mouth with a slight acidity.

Notes: It combines with all types of cold meats, cured and strong cheeses. Served chilled.

The Winery

Founded in 1933 by five families from the village of Capçanes, who together established a cooperative that would handle large quantities of grapes economically and efficiently. The cooperative bears the name of the village where it is located: Capçanes, a village hidden away in the Priorato hills inland from Tarragona and with a long wine-growing history.
In the 1990s, the company was reinvented as an independent company with its original members as shareholders; today, they have around 130 members and produce a wide selection of high-quality wines, including the well-known Peraj Ha’abib, a kosher wine, under the Montsant appellation.
