The Vernatxa is made from 100% white Grenache, selected manually and sourced from a single plot called " Finca Quart" vineyard property of the family Frisach located in Corbera d’Ebre in the Terra Alta region. Organically farmed and grown on the characteristic “panal” terroir, a mixture of sandy lands and silts, here the plants have deep roots that live together with the lime.

Production: 

Fermentation takes place with the skins and ages in 500-liter oak barrels for six months. Bottled without filtering, clarification or stabilization, Grenache in its purest form to appreciate its fineness and elegance.

Tasting Notes:

Yellow color with golden highlights. Medium aromatic intensity on the nose, mature white fruit, banana, herbaceous notes like fennel, and aromas redolent of fresh quince. Fresh entry on the palate, good acidity and structure, wood and fruit in harmony, long finish with a mineral feeling.

With the arrival of the new generation, this small family-run operation has moved on and grown under the direction of Francesc Ferré, the new generation of a local family dedicated for decades to the farming of grapes in Corbera d’Ebre. He started his personal project, farming his own grapes organically to produce his own wines, where he employs his expertise and enthusiasm to create wines of high quality with personality that keep improving since his first vintage in 2004.
