Giol Porrera Varietat autóctona is a single varietal of "Verdiell", a very rare and practically unknown native variety. Vinification with grapes from the family estate “Les Sentius”, from vines in Costers (steep slopes) and Licorella soils.

Production: 

Made with minimal intervention, the wine has not seen any oak. Small production of just 1060 bottles.

Tasting Notes: Pleasant and smooth wine, displaying notes of white fruit and tropical fruit, along with light floral touches. Medium-bodied, with a light acidity. Quite interesting!

This young winery, Bodegas Giol Porrera, is the project of winegrower and winemaker Jonàs Macip, who, together with the full support of his family, has created a small family-run operation in the heart of the Priorat, in the village of Porrera, to elaborate their own wines from the grapes they have always grown and had previously sold to other producers. The winery was born in 2018, and their vintage was released to the market in 2020, in the midst of the difficulty and uncertainty that the pandemic times have brought.
