Serving Temperature: It is recommended to serve at 16ºC; decant it to let it breathe for about 10 minutes when drinking the wine while it is still young; once it has about 4–7 years, it is best to decant it for 20–30 minutes.

Production: 

The grapes that take part in the unusual blend that will produce this fantastic white wine, Nelin, are selected from four different plots totalling 5.8 ha of their own vineyards.

Hand-harvested from sloped terraces composed of slate soils known locally as 'llicorella' and situated at 350-500 metres above sea level.

Fermentation takes 6 months with skins and indigenous yeasts. Followed by 12 months of ageing in 1200-litre oak barrels and another 6 months in stainless steel vats.

With a great capacity for ageing, it can be drunk now or over the next 5–6 years.

Tasting Notes: 

The rich and intense nose is packed with white fruits, notes of spring flowers, and marked mineral tones. A soft palate, silky textured, displays a concentrated and complex character with excellent depth and length and well-integrated oak characters.

THE WINERY

Clos Mogador is located in Gratallops, in the heart of the Priorat hills. The winery was founded in 1989 by René Barbier. The terraced Clos Mogador vineyards form a gigantic natural amphitheatre above the Siurana River, with an average altitude of 450 metres above sea level. His flagship wine, Clos Mogador, is a blend of Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Carignan. The Grenache vines are more than 80 years old.
