Quality sparkling wine elaborated by the traditional method by Recaredo Mata and grown in a historic Barcelona Wine Valley, Sant Sadurní d'Anoia.

Ecologically and biodynamically farmed from a single-estate "Serral del Vell" in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, a hillock in the easternmost part of the Penedès region composed mainly of calcareous terrain. The wines have not been treated with herbicides or insecticides.

Exclusive in-house vinification. Hand-harvested grapes, the xarel.lo grapes fermented in oak barrels. Long-aged wines, remaining in the darkness of the caves for at least 57 months until they achieve a truly unique character. Secondary fermentation and bottle ageing done exclusively with natural cork stoppers. Artisanal disgorgement, done by hand without freezing the neck of the bottle. The disgorger releases the sediment manually at natural cellar temperature with those skills that come only from experience. It is a 100% dry sparkling wine with no sugar added.

Tasting Notes: Dry with no added sugar, crystallised fruits combined with notes of very ripe citrus fruit, full bodied, complex, and very harmonious.

Certified Organic by CCPAE, the Catalan Council for organic production, the public watchdog responsible to the Catalan Goverment's Ministry of Agriculture.

Recaredo is a founding member of the new Brand, CORPINNAT, which stand for a collective European Union Brand established with the aim of distinguishing great sparkling wines made in the heart of the Penedès from 100% organic manual harvest, 100% vinified on the premises of the winery, and long ageing.
