Vinification: Made exclusively from Monastrell sourced from 100-year-old vines located at an altitude of 750 metres above sea level. It has aged for 16 months in French oak (30%) and American oak barrels (70%).  

Tasting Notes: 

Powerful and ripe, with plenty of ripe red fruits, spices (mainly tabaco and cacao), meaty and dry, a little earthy on the palate, marked tannins, and good acidity, a wine in need of some food. Suitable for vegans

Notes: It is recommended to decant or allow the wine to breathe in the glass for a short time.

BODEGAS CASTAÑO    


Today, the Family Castaño is a highly respected wine producer in Yecla, Murcia, in South Eastern Spain. Founded in 1950, although it did not start elaborating bottled wine until the 1980s. Today, it produces a wide range of high-quality wines at competitive prices, mostly from the local grape variety Monastrell, from its nearly 450 hectares of vineyards spread across four different estates in the D.O. Yecla.
