Due to the youth of their own vines, which are between 50 and 80 years old, Carignan vines are purchased from five different wine growers in the vicinity. The grapes are sourced from a selection of hand-picked grapes from four different plots. They are all farmed organically and sustainably.

Every grape variety from each parcel is vinified independently, accurately capturing the unique qualities of each site's soil type.

Venus was matured for 20 months in a 4000-litre wood vat and 300-litre barrels.

Tasting Notes:

Good fruit expression, marked by notes of minerals and aromatic herbs. Elegant and round, with a warm bouquet with a lovely intensity of fruit on the palate and a firm structure that will develop with time in the bottle.

Notes: It is recommended to decant the wine. This wine will drink well for 6–7 years.

Venus la Universal is a small winery located in the locality of Falset within the Denomination of Origin Montsant. It belongs to Sara Perez and her husband, René Barbier Jr., a young and super talented couple of enologists who make a very special team with plenty of experience, energy, and talent. Their 4 ha of vineyards are planted on granitic soils that are acidic and very poor in organic matter. They are all organically farmed, showing at all times a great respect for nature and the environment.
