Made from grapes selected and harvested by hand. Each variety ferments separately in small open stainless-steel vats with 1 to 2 daily pumping-overs and a part fermenting in French oak barrels. Then, the different wines are aged separately in French oak barrels of various sizes for 12 months and finally blended before bottling.
Tasting Notes:
A wine with a marked Mediterranean profile, deep black fruit aromas, ripe warm, spicy, and forest herbs scents. Silky texture, nicely balanced acidity, rich, succulent fruit, concentrated yet elegant with style, which should mature beautifully
Notes: It shows great potential for aging. Drinks very well now and over the next 8-10 years.
Clar del Bosc is the new wine from the Gil Family Estate in the Priorat region, the latest to join now the many companies that compose The Group, a project that unifies a series of selected and interesting wineries from different DOs in Spain, each one with its own personality. Clar the Bosc is the first wine made under the Piorat appellation and counts with the collaboration of Silvia Puig as a winemaker for their project in Gratallops.
