Cellers Tarroné is a small, family-run winery located in the small village of Batea in the province of Tarragona and within the Denomination of Origin Terra Alta. It consists of six different plots totaling 35 ha of vineyards with clayey and chalky soils, poor in organic matter. It is situated between 350 and 500 meters above sea level and enjoys a Mediterranean climate with continental influences.

The wine is currently organically farmed and duly certified by the authority CCPAE, the Catalan Council of Organic Production, the public watchdog responsible to the Catalan Government's Ministry of Agriculture.

Production:

This young, white Grenache has been manually harvested at the optimal ripening time. Controlled fermentation at 18ºC.

Tasting Notes:

Pale yellow in color, it displays an aromatic nose with notes of exotic fruit—mango and pineapple—as well as floral and some citrus notes. On the palate, just the right level of acidity, with marked fruit-floral complexity and a slightly bitterish finish.

Notes: Best enjoyed in its youth, over the next 1-2 years. Combine very well with appetizers, cheeses, shellfood, fish, rice, and as an after meal.
