Malleolus is one of the three wines that belong to the Malleolus family range (Malleolus, Malleolus Valderramiro and Malleolus de Sanchomartín), benchmark wines that represent the elegance, delicacy and distinction of the winery's wines.
Production:
Made from a selection of 100% Tinto Fino vines (the local name for the Tempranillo grape) from some of the oldest vines, ages range from 25 to 75 years. Maceration during 28 days with the skins. Fermentation takes place in French oak barrels, and it is aged for 18 months in new French Allier barrels before being bottled.
Tasting Notes:
Good complex nose of black jammy fruits, balsamic notes, spicy aromas, clove and coffee. Concentrated and structured, velvety-textured, it presents a sumptuous palate of rich black fruit and spice with splendid integration between oak and fruit. Ripe tannins.
Note: It is recommended to decant this wine at least 1 hour before serving. It should evolve for another 2–3 years and have a 10–14-year lifespan.
