Production:

A blend of organically grown vines planted along with older vines of local varieties, Carignan and Grenache, on terraces rich in the Priorat's distinctive llicorella, or slate, soils.

It has aged for 14 months in new and second-year French and Hungarian 400-litre oak barrels.

Tasting notes:

Super berry fruit and red fruit jam, characteristic nose of minerals, and toast. Lovely intensity of fruit on the palate, great weight and length, soft and ripe tannins, and a lovely fresh aftertaste.

Notes: Decant before serving. Drinks beautifully now and for the next seven years.

Gratavinum is a small winery in Gratallops belonging to the Cusiné family (Parés Baltà in Penedès). Their project in Priorat, which began in 2003, consists of 11 hectares of organically farmed vines. The project's respect for the environment and local diversity is evident throughout the winemaking process.
